Do I have to pay to get estimates?

No. Estimates are completely free.

What are the costs?

When you pay for a job, you will be charged a small transaction fee, (3% with a $4 minimum).

Can I hire more than one person with one job ad?

The system is set up to credit one account per job, so unless you are hiring a contractor with a crew, you will need to post an ad for each individual that you would like to hire.

Can I hire someone for multiple jobs with one job ad?

Yes. However, the jobs should all be related and have a defined end date.

When do I have to pay for the job?

You only pay for the job after your bill has been finalized at the end of the job. For jobs with multiple milestones, you will receive a separate bill at the completion of each job milestone.

Can I cancel a job that I have already awarded to someone?

Yes, you can cancel a job up until you authorize work to begin. After you authorize work to begin, you will have to work out job cancellation with your service provider. If you have any problem getting the job cancelled at anytime, you can always contact us to get the issue resolved.

Do I have to pay if the contractor does not meet his or her obligations?

Depending on the circumstances, your final bill may be reduced to compensate for performance issues. You are encouraged to try to work these kinds out of issues with the contractor directly, but we are prepared to step in as necessary.

Why am I being asked to verify my payment method?

When you post a job request on Securifieds, we only require an email address for identification. Before work is authorized, we need to capture and verify your billing information. You will NOT be charged for work until your bill is finalized, and your bill will not be finalized without your direct input.
